I want to uninstall netbeans 8 after the update today i cant get my project files back anymore if i select a project or the project window they dont respond. So i thought lets uninstall and reinstall. But if i uninstall it says : 

The specified target component - nb-base/8.0.0.0.0.201403101706 was not found in the registry. The installer can continue as if target component was not specified. Click yes to continue, No to exit.

I select Yes and it jumps to uninstall and i click uninstall and it jumps to finish but nothing is removed. And netbeans still on my computer.

It's because your nbi registries are broken. The only way how to uninstall NB is to remove the whole installation folder. I also recommend to delete the <user profile>/.nbi folder, where the registries are placed.

Probably the uninstallation was executed as a different user than installation.
