After clicking the update link in Netbeans 8.0 on Ubuntu 14.4 there is an error message (see below) and then Netbeans keeps on trying to restart over and over.

What are the exacts step to reproduce? And why did you report it against the PHP/Composer? Simply reopen this issue.

Thanks Tomas,

The last module I installed was the composer module but I had clicked an update link in the IDE earlier in the week. 
When I restarted Netbeans yesterday I got the above error message.

I don't know how else to explain it or reproduce it.

Should I try to uninstall my modules that are listed in the error message?

I uninstalled and re-installed 8.0.1 and all it working well again.

Same exact error for me but running on Windows 7. Obviously, this isn't an OS issue. I'm getting tired of having to de-install and re-install NetBeans.

I've had the same problem on two different computers, with the same configuration.

Updating from 8.0.1 to 8.1 forced me to uninstall the Gradle Support plugin: eventhough it can be installed on a fresh 8.1 install, a popup prompted me to disable it to continue.

Netbeans opened OK, but my gradle projects could, of course, not be opened; I checked in the plugins manager, gradle was not available.

I then closed netbeans and opened it again, and bam,
