intellij vs netbeans dark theme

Pure white color is too harsh and bright for my eyes. I can change the editor's  foreground color but i don't know where i can change the font color outside the editor.

There's no pure white (#FFFFFF) in the dark theme.

Besides this is very subjective topic - what's too bright for one user could be too dim of other.

Also, there is already http://plugins.netbeans.org/plugin/40985/ez-on-da-ice whose focus is on pale white color schemes for easier viewing.
