As I commented here: http://plugins.netbeans.org/plugin/40174/hexeditor

I have the problem, that I can't open files via enter, double click, which has the property "open as hex" inside the context menu, in the project window.

The Problem appears for files like .gitignore, *.txt, readme.md and much others with the dot at the beginning. I here a sound after hit enter but thats all.

Now it's still in C/C++ files like .c, .cpp, make and .h files. The option is the first "Open in Hex" after this it comes open. I have activated my C/C++ project type. So the files shouldn't be unknown.

Still happens in NB 8.1. Open multiple selected files on enter doesn't work too anymore.

I will close this ticket because there is a new plugin called delta hex and he handled this I think. If not I will create a ticket for him.
