after a few tries of startup the IDE and receiving a JVM Error, when the IDE finally started up I found a "red notification" below.

This does not need to mean the memory was exhausted, rather a limit of number of threads was reached.

When reproducing the problem, can you take and attach here a full thread dump of the NetBeans Java process?
