I'm not seeing this module as being available in the 8.0 available plugins list. 

Had a similar problem that was reported when v7.4 came out and this bug was addressed shortly thereafter:

I think this issue has been resolved 2 weeks ago (http://plugins.netbeans.org/plugin/51971/gdbserver)

Excellent, I see this now too. I've been expecting notifications (and also polling) from this record since I figured this issue report would be updated as part of posting a new version. Guess not ;). I'll let someone else close this...
