After installing patch1 for netbeans 8, 30 minutes ago, I can't activate some plugins anymore :/. Databse, C/C++, IDE Platform... Problem with other plugins or with patch1? Here is the message, I got: Activation failed: Not all requested modules can be enabled: [StandardModule:org.netbeans.modules.cnd.kit jarFile: C:\Users\chrl\Desktop\Netbeans 8.0\cnd\modules\org-netbeans-modules-cnd-kit.jar] Regards Chris
I have reinstalled netbeans after this it works. I hope that was the first and last error. Maybe smth went wrong with the JIRA plugin? If its not reproducible you can close this.
I had the same problem with my Netbeans 8.0 in a Linux 64 platform. This is the list of plugins that I cannot activate any more: Ant [1.25.1] Database [1.26.1] GUI Builder [1.24.1] Hibernate [1.27.1.1] IDE Branding [1.24.1] IDE Platform [1.28.1] Java [1.28.1] Java Debugger [1.11.1] Java EE Base [1.26.1] JavaFX 2 Support [1.13.1] Java Persistence [1.27.1] Maven [4.26.1] NetBeans Plugin Development [1.26.1] REST HTML5 Client [1.11.1] Service Registry [1.23.1] Spring Beans [1.34.1.1] All I rember is when I updated netbeans 8.0 I got an error that seams to be related with the Terminal and after that It deactivate all these plugins. Allthough all theses plugins aren't active I can work well with sql editor and I can build and run my jsp projects. The only thing that I miss is the Terminal window.

Yeah, I noticed that too, after Terminal disappeared. So maybe conflicts with C/C++ and the patch or other things?
Guys, can you paste here information provided in Help > About dialog? Do you have Patch 1 installed or Patch 1.1?

Product Version: NetBeans IDE 8.0 (Build 201403101706) Updates: NetBeans IDE is updated to version NetBeans 8.0 Patch 1.1 Java: 1.7.0_45; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 24.45-b08 Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.7.0_45-b18 System: Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64; Cp1252; de_DE (nb) User directory: C:\Users\chrl\AppData\Roaming\NetBeans\8.0 Cache directory: C:\Users\chrl\AppData\Local\NetBeans\Cache\8.0 The problem happened after updated to the big patch 8.0 Patch 1.0. I deleted my netbeans folder and downloaded it again (maybe still with the patch) and then worked so I can't reproduce it at now.

Libor, could you please look at this ASAP ? Thanks in advance.
I tried to reproduce but, worked for me. On Windows 7. Will try on linux. Have you noticed some error while updater run? In log I can see "org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; lineNumber: 20; columnNumber: 1; Content is not allowed in trailing section." exception. Also there is "java.io.FileNotFoundException: /home/quim/Documents/estudi/netbeans-8.0/ide/update/download/org-netbeans-modules-terminal.nbm" exception which may be somehow related to this. If the terminal module is missing then other modules depending on it cannot be enabled.
Yes, I did. I noticed an error when I updated. As I commented in #2: "All I rember is when I updated netbeans 8.0 I got an error that seams to be related with the Terminal and after that It deactivate all these plugins. ". I can't remember well the error message but it was something like "Terminal plugin version x.x.x.x cannot be activated. Because of that 26 plugins would be deactivated." After I got this error, I tried to reinstall the inactive plugins, but nothing change. I've been using Netbeans since version 7.0. And I have also installed 7.2, 7.3, 7.3.1, 7.4 and now 8.0.
Jardo, please look at this issue, if you have any idea why this problem occurred. Thanks
(In reply to Libor Fischmeistr from comment #13) > why this problem > occurred. What do you mean by "this"?
(In reply to Jaroslav Tulach from comment #14) > (In reply to Libor Fischmeistr from comment #13) > > why this problem > > occurred. > > What do you mean by "this"? I think the main problem is missing nbm. In log messages in file updater.log.0.1 you can find: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /home/quim/Documents/estudi/netbeans-8.0/ide/update/download/org-netbeans-modules-terminal.nbm Which is, in my opinion, reason, why some plugins cannot be activated after update.
Unfortunately, there is no way to fix this if there is no sure way how to reproduce it. I'm keeping this issue opened, but decreasing priority to P3.
Can't reproduce it anymore too, we could resolve this ticket if wanted. Thx for trying :)
Unfortunately it is not reporoducable anymore. I will close it.
