I'm trying to download netbeans 8.0 os independent zip http://download.netbeans.org/netbeans/8.0/final/zip/netbeans-8.0-201403101706.zip , the download stops at 12MB. How many times I try redownloading it, with whatever the browser(ie,safari,chrome,firefox) and on whatever the os(mac,windows,ubuntu) the download stops at 12MB. There are no torrents,no mirrors for this gr8 IDE.
I hope someone should fuck the oracle; then we shall get the true prophecy from god.
Hello necktwi, the downloads are outsourced to the akami CDN for the final delivery. They have robust worldwide network of CDN servers. I have just verified from location in Us and EU that the file can be fully downloaded. To be able to trace the issue, can you please provide us with following information: * Client IP address (can go to http://whatismyip.akamai.com to obtain) * DNS IP address via DNS resolution of whoami.akamai.net - nslookup whoami.akamai.net and paste results * DNS resolution of dlc.sun.com.edgesuite.net - nslookup dlc.sun.com.edgesuite.net and paste results * The date and time of the download attempt I will then pass this to akami support and ask them to investigate. Note that in past incidents like this, akami always closed them as 'last mile client connection issue' as they did not find anything odd in their logs which would indicate anything broken on their end... At worst I can manually put this file to some other location for you and let it there for couple days so you can download... jan

Hello, I passed this to akami...
Akami investigated their logs with this result: I checked the log based on the client IP, and I am seeing client abort errors in the log, that is, the client aborted the request before the Edge Server sent the headers or the full object. So this is 'client or last mile connection issue' and is not on the download server side. Closing the issue now as worksforme as I do not have any other report and download works for me.
I'm able to download from the other link u've send me but not from the official link; so its definitely a server problem. Anyway today I tried the official link again to test. Its working good. Its good if they resolved the issue or we have this rare situation to fix. Anyway its upto you guys to re-consider it.
