I have just installed Netbeans 8 & imported the settings from my previous version.

The JIRA Repository from the old version has been imported, but none of the queries have.

Don't know if this is an error, or if it simply hasn't been implemented and so should be an enhancement request. (Could be because I accepted the recommendation to used 5.0 connector and restarted which then would not connect to the server due to https issue in bug 242639?)

this is a bug, unfortunately not fixable due to changes of the underlying connector in 8.0 and some parts in the netbeans jira module. 

please note, that the problematic part in the jira module was already fixed and we do not expect similar problems to reappear after 8.0
