This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
When reporting a Bug from the IDE using Help->Report Issue... The info regarding Java is mis-aligned. That is to say, the Java information from Help->About looks like this: Java: 1.8.0; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 25.0-b70 Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0-b132 While the information auto-inserted into the Description field of the form looks like this: Java; VM; Vendor = 1.8.0 Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 25.0-b70 Looks like things got mixed-up somehow. I left this as a P3, because I believe the point of this functionality is to effortlessly get the right information into the Bug report.
the about info in a bug report is there only as an info for whoever reads the issue. The format itself is not important as long it is easily understandable.
That may be true, but the report itself is incomplete.
