To better put in evidence that the IDE is recording a macro the button "Start macro recording" should remain pressed during the operation.
In my opinion the "recording" label that appear on the bottom left corner, alone, is not sufficiently evident.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
