Description Neobean 2014-02-08 12:13:28 UTC
Hi

I would like to suggest that it should be possible for users to make their own code completion items using a new Code Completion Editor which should work in the same way as the Code Template (editor).

The reason for requesting this is because the custom made code would show up in the code completer as soon as the users starts to write - e.g there would be no need for using an abbreviation.

Another reason for my request is that not all users are skilled programmers and this would provide them with an easy way to have their own customized code completer.

I hope my suggestion will be taken into consideration and maybe find its way into a future version of Netbeans 8+

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
