Press Ctrl+i write in the search box keyboard shortcuts, choose the one from options. Now you can only close the window that has been opened, pressing on anything but the close X results in pressing what ever is behind the window.

I cannot reproduce this bug on Windows, it may be Linux specific.
Can you please attach your IDE Log?
What desktop environment (or window manager) do you use?

I cannot reproduce this bug in NetBeans 8.0 running on Ubuntu Linux 14.04 32bit.
Closing for now. Please reopen this issue if you still encounter this problem and also please provide some additional information.
