Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201401080002)
Java: 1.8.0-ea; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.0-b63
Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0-ea-b121
System: Mac OS X version 10.9 running on x86_64; UTF-8; en_US (nb)


Start IDE with fresh userdir. Invoke Tools | Plugins from main menu. "Plugins" manager shows up. Select "Installed" tab and tick "Show details" checkbox. Find the "JavaFX 2 Support" and "JavaFX 2 Scene Builder", tick them and push Activate button. "NetBeans IDE Installer" wizard shows up with a list of plugins for activation. Push Activate. Wait for the task to finish and then press Finish. 

Result: JavaFX and JavaSE are still NOT marked as activated. However in New Project wizard, project templates in "Java" and "JavaFX" categories and samples for those categories are not grayed out and no activation is invoked upon creation of these projects.

Tried also on below parameters, same issue:
