Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.4 (Build 201310111528)
Operating System = Linux version 2.6.32-358.18.1.el6.i686 running on i386
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_40
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 24.0-b56

When you run as the root user in netbeans7.4 centos6.4,
In the editor, you will not be able to enter the Japanese
By the way, it is possible to input Japanese eclipse,
I think is the problem of netbeans specific.
I want you to tell me if any workaround.

centos6.4でnetbeans7.4をrootユーザーで実行すると、
エディタで、日本語が入力できない
ちなみに、eclipseは日本語入力できるので、
netbeans固有の問題なのかと思う。
対処法あれば教えてほしいです。

Thank you for filing issue.

Could you try Notepad and SwingSet of JDK demo on that environment?
Is it possible to input japanese on it?

I understand NetBeans IDE is one of JDK/Swing app and
there is no special code in it for input method.

JDK のデモについている Notepad や SwingSet を起動してそこで入力をしてみてもらえますか？ NetBeans は JDK/Swing で書かれているので JDK のアプリであれば同じ現象がでると思います。 JDK の問題ではないかと考えています。 デモは JDK を同じ場所からダウンロードできます。
