Hi, I'm trying to install the JAX-RPC plugin to support some old webservices. Earlier this week the plugin installed just fine once I added http://deadlock.netbeans.org/hudson/job/nbms-and-javadoc/lastStableBuild/artifact/nbbuild/nbms/updates.xml.gz to my Plugins Update Centers on a PC at home. Yesterday I tried to follow the same steps on another computer and found that the deadlock.netbeans.org server appears to be down. NetBeans' Plugins error says 'unable to connect because of Timeout while opening connection to http://deadlock.netbeans.org/hudson/job/nbms-and-javadoc/lastStableBuild/artifact/nbbuild/nbms/updates.xml.gz'. Meanwhile a browser to deadlock.netbeans.org returns 'Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to deadlock.netbeans.org' Since the server is down, the JAX-RPC plugin won't install. Is there a mirror for the content on deadlock.netbeans.org? How can we get it back online? Thanks -paul
deadlock.netbeans.org came back online last night and I was able to install my plugin. From searching on the Internets it appears that deadlock goes down every once in a while. Is there a better way to get it back up than filing a bug like this one, if this should happen again? Thanks -paul
deadlock no longer provides the development update center. The current development builds contain 'Latest Development Build' Update Center whose URL is http://bits.netbeans.org/dev/nbms-and-javadoc/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/nbbuild/nbms/updates.xml.gz This update center also serves the mentioned JAX-RPC Web Services module.
