This bug was originally marked as duplicate of bug 181584, that is already resolved. This bug is still valid, so this seems to be another bug, but it might be related.

seems to be a bug in jdk, reassigning

Searching through existing JDK bug reports supports the assumption that the problem is on a lower level, outside JVM's control. As reporter indicates, with the relatively small RAM the system, the solution is to add memory.
