Description mclaborn 2013-09-23 18:17:50 UTC
Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.3 (Build 201306052037)
Operating System = Linux version 3.2.0-53-generic running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_25
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 23.25-b01

The "Synchronize Editor with Views" setting does not work consistently with JSP files. Sometimes when the editor for a JSP file is activated, the corresponding node will be selected in the Projects view, but sometimes not. I have not been able to determine a pattern as to when it works and does not. I am not able to reproduce the problem at will, but it seems to happen at least 50% of the time that I switch to a JSP file. Once it is working, it seems to continue working for a while.

I noticed today, watching the project view closly, that when I switched to a JSP file, the proper node for a JSP file was selected, but then some other stuff happened in the project view and it was no longer selected. This happened when I closed an open file, and the JSP file was the once selected to be the active file.

This is still a problem in 8.1.
