If you open a (long) XML document with lots of comments, formatting it to standard indentation (I use 4 spaces per tab) doesn't work. You have to select individual sections of the document and format them one at a time.

For example, solr's schema.xml (example here: http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/lucene/dev/trunk/solr/example/solr/collection1/conf/schema.xml?view=markup) is indented inconsistently, at less than 4 spaces per tab. Alt + Shift + F on this file does nothing.

Report from old NetBeans version. Due to code changes since it was reported likely not reproducible now. Feel free to reopen if happens in 8.0.2 or 8.1.
