If there's an error found in a JSP file by the JSP parser, the error is shown in the editor if the file is opened, but the file is not error badged. I can understand the reason - we are hardly able to put the JSP parser errors to the tasklist as the parsing is very slow. Should be tracked though as DEFECT IMHO (possibly P2) -- see for example the user's complains in Bug 227269 - the IDE does not tell you when jsp files contain packages that no longer exist in the project -- can have quite serious consequences.
