Description josef.sabl 2013-08-19 06:54:07 UTC
I am in a login loop. I want to post bug at netbeans.org/bugzilla, but I need to log-in first. But I can't as it turns out I am already logged in. See screenshots attached:

 2. http://screenpresso.com/=Wpilf

Now, I can do nothing. Switching back to Bugzilla does not resolve the issue, I am still not logged in there. What I need to do to be able to post is log out first.

Cannot reproduce the situation from scratch. Going to incognito, thus cleaning all cookies and sessions does not produce the problem. But it always apprears when clicking link from notification in e-mail.

It does that on all my PCs. I am on Chrome, synchronizing my accounts and settings on all my PCs.

This is caused by recent deployment of new Bugzilla instance and its conflict with your browser's cache. In order to fix this clear your browser's cache, cookies and especially active logins. This should help.

Well it seems like it helped, thanks.

But I still consider it a bug. Inability to log in for all your users after you deploy new version and instructions for them to "clear all their settings on websites across the entire internet" is quite a bit too user unfriendly :-)

Cheers
