Description Ondrej Brejla 2013-08-12 07:38:17 UTC
Mails which are send to us by new Bugzilla are really ugly, unreadable and useless. The most important part is the smallest one (text of the comment) and unimportant stuff is toooooo big.

My recomendation is to change the order of items in the mail and their size.

Enlarge the size of comment text and reduce the size of the "table" and info why I'm receiving the mail.

And the order of items? 1. Comment text (it's the most important imho), 2. Table with meta data, 3. Why I'm receiving it.

Thanks.

I second this! I would even vote for this bug but the voting link has disappeared. :(
Comment 2 Tomas Mysik 2013-08-13 07:18:16 UTC
Or simply return back the plain-text e-mails...

Thanks.
Comment 3 Marco Walther 2013-08-13 14:08:21 UTC
That's your choice. The plain text version is still included in the emails.
Comment 4 Ondrej Brejla 2013-08-13 14:12:54 UTC
But the default is HTML, so all mails sent to mailing lists use this useless html template.
Comment 5 Marco Walther 2013-08-13 14:40:45 UTC
The default is a function of the email client. It gets both versions. But overall, the size of that HTML table will shrink with the next update somewhen.

Please, is there any estimate when this usability issue will be fixed? Ideally together with the apparently incorrect source code comments [1][2][3] visible in every issue detail.

Thanks.

I have changed default bugzilla behavior to send plaintext emails only. Format of mails now look as before. Please let me know if this is working for you.

Seems to be ok, thanks.
