In Ubuntu 12.0.4 Precise using PHP PDT. 
When code hinting the IDE freezes.

JDK version/build ? NB version/build ?

Re-installed: jdk-7u25-nb-7_3_1-linux-x64-1 so that Oracle JDK was used. 
All good now. Was on OpenJDK
