Created attachment 136618 [details] Search results window Using a recent nightly release (201306272300) and the plugin version 7.3, the search results window (the dockable full-project search, not the in-file search) displays black on black/dark blue. You must click on a result to highlight it in order to make it readable. Screenshot attached.
I've tested it with current development version, and it works fine for me (white text on dark background). It's been probably already fixed in Window System. I didn't use a plugin, but set the Look&Feel using Menu -> Options -> Miscellaneous -> Windows -> Preferred look and feel -> Restart Can you please verify that newer version works for you? If not, please reopen this bug. Thank you very much for reporting.
I disabled the plugin and set Dark Nimbus in the menu as you suggested. After a restart, I do not have the Dark backgrounds anywhere. The only way I get the dark backgrounds is via the plugin, which causes the issue with the search results.
That's odd, I've installed 201306272300 too, and I have dark backgrounds everywhere and white text in Search Results window. Maybe the plugin somehow affects this. Can you please try it again with fresh userdir (e.g. using --userdir parameter)? Which JDK version do you use? (Since the Dark Nimbus is now part of NetBeans, I guess the plugin is obsolete). Thank you.
Not sure what the userdir param is. Do I need to delete a folder and create a new one?
(In reply to comment #4) > Not sure what the userdir param is. Do I need to delete a folder and create a > new one? User directory is the directory where NetBeans stores your settings, plugins, etc. See http://wiki.netbeans.org/DevFaqUserDir To display path to userdir of running NetBeans, go to: Menu -> Help -> About -> User Directory It can be set using a command-line parameter: http://wiki.netbeans.org/FaqStartupParameters You can also delete the folder (the new one will be created automatically), or just rename it (so that you can later remove the new one and rename the original one back).
I'm sorry, I still cannot reproduce the bug. I guess that the problem is caused by the plugin. Closing for now. Please reopen if you can reproduce the problem with built-in Dark Nimbus theme and fresh userdir. Thank you.
