The NetBeans installer input components (check boxes, radio buttons, buttons) are very unresponsive to input. It takes several clicks before anything registers and there are awkward delays in reacting to input.

I am running on Windows 7 64-bit (standard Oracle install). I am very worried users may be abandoning the install altogether if they are experiencing the same thing. Once the install finishes, NetBeans itself is quite snappy, so this is an issue specific to the installer.

Not sure what this means, but I tried this on another Windows 7 64-bit machine and things work fine. What I did notice though is that the look and feel for the installer was slightly different. So maybe this is an issue with the underlying OS settings? I am happy to help debug if you guys have an idea of what to look for.

Does the installer behave same way if try to run it again? Can you reproduce it? If yes, please attach the installer log - you can find it in %userprofile%\.nbi\log\ folder.

Can you please attach screenshots of installers? (To show the L&F difference). I have no idea where can be problem. I have never seen something you are describing.

So I retried NetBeans 7.3 with the same effects (I forgot to do a screenshot, I'll attach one in the next few days). Weirdly, I tried 7.3.1 and everything was snappy (with the same look and feel).
