Please add a tooltip or a label to the "Print Text" field in "Breakpoint Properties" dialog, so that it is instantly obvious that it is easy to print values of variables using {=expr} notation. Thank you.
This is rather an enhancement than defect.
I've talked about this with Jarda, I consider this more like a usability defect, since many users probably not notice that it's possible to print out values of variables and expressions when breakpoint is hit.
Having the hint in a tooltip will improve the usability, at least. Fixed by changeset: 255108:c917173c0ea4 http://hg.netbeans.org/core-main/rev/c917173c0ea4
Integrated into 'main-golden', will be available in build *201305302301* on http://bits.netbeans.org/dev/nightly/ (upload may still be in progress) Changeset: http://hg.netbeans.org/main-golden/rev/c917173c0ea4 User: mentlicher@netbeans.org Log: #230468: Mention that {=<expression>} can be used to print evaluated expressions.
