With the current approach: icons instead of checkboxes with text, I'm unable to quickly determine how to enable case sensitive matching (for example). Icons are too similar. Please consider having text labels or introduce distinguishable icons, or both, or make it customizable. With the current approach I spend time finding the right icon instead of working. Thanks!
I find icons enough distinguishable from each other. They show tooltips so you can learn what is their meaning (and shortcut) if you don't understand picture at the first sight. They have same order in searchbar, I believe after a few tries everybody get used to them. Please give it try. Thanks for understanding.
To be consistent you'll have to remove text captions from Next/Previous buttons as well... Is it possible to make presentation at least customizable (text/icon/icon+text)?
Ok, this can be considered. However I would rather see it on application level.
That would be great, thanks!

I know this is an older thread, but I gotta tell you - the icons on the search/replace bar are making me crazy. They are not intuitive, and do not work as well as the icon PLUS text options do. It would be *really* nice, and would significantly enhance my productivity, if I could choose to have icons only, or icons with text. In my case, I would choose icons+text because I really dislike icon-only options here.
This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue. Thanks for your cooperation, NetBeans IDE 8.2 Release Boss
Still very relevant.
