Description akobberup 2013-05-14 17:11:05 UTC
Would it be possible to move the results of an SQL execution to a new panel(topcomponent) in the output area of netbeans? It seems that the sql editor is the only component that do use a fixed panel to display its results.

On a smaller screen (labtop like 15,6") it means that you have to maximize the editor window to be able to see the result - which in turn means that every time you execute a query, the output window will pop up filling half the screen telling you that your query went well.
The alternative is to just minimize every other component besides the output (to disallow it to popup for every query), but that is not practical when also having other tabs with java editor open at the same time.

If the results could be moved to the output area of the screen, and also if this sql-result-tab could be highlighted when a query is executed successfully, it would be a highly appreciated enhancement of the usabillity from my point of view.
