In a normal git workflow, it is common to remove branches and to start working on completely different ones. Therefore, in the Pull, Fetch and Pull operations there should be a checkbox to make the current selection the default for the ...from upstream variants.

Is this still valid after #231996 was fixed? If so then please describe your scenario in detail step by step. Thanks
