Can you run with -J-Dorg.openide.loaders.FolderChildren.level=FINE?
Can you take a heap dump when a problem like this appears again?

I need to find why the node is not removed. I can do it either by looking at history of what happened (e.g. log) or at the current state (e.g. heap dump).
