This video ( http://enventory.chemie.uni-kl.de/inventar/intern/netbeans_bugs.ogv ) shows the behavior for Javascript, but Java (and other languages probably as well) are affected. The current indentation settings are part of the video. I prefer to use tabs over spaces, as it is much cleaner (tab or no tab, but never 3 or 5 spaces instead of 4).

Very annoying, working becomes almost impossible. 

(The problems of Netbeans with the cursor position also within the video seem to be http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=153067 , posted the video also there)
