According to user email in the NetCat mailing list:
JavaScript syntax in Netbeans 7.3 Beta 2 is colored in HTML tags but it is not coloured in Smarty functions (like html_options). I think JavaScript syntax should be coloured in Smarty functions.

If this is working in the runtime, it makes sense to support that, wasn't supported yet since the Smarty documentation doesn't speak about that at all.
