This bug was originally marked as duplicate of bug 170419, that is already resolved. This bug is still valid, so this seems to be another bug, but it might be related.

Build: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201212060001)
VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM, 23.5-b02, Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment, 1.7.0_09-b05
OS: Windows XP

alied: latest builds background scanning makes NB sluggish as hell
specially when adding new classes, memory consumption gets over 1G and takes up to 5min to close.



Maximum slowness yet reported was 8469 ms, average is 8469

Report from old NetBeans version. Due to code changes since it was reported likely not reproducible now. Feel free to reopen if happens in 8.0.2 or 8.1.
