Description sungmoonc 2012-12-06 23:20:32 UTC
Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.2.1 (Build 201210100934)
Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_07
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 23.3-b01

In the Update Center, if I try to add a new provider in the Settings tab, I have to type in the entire URL or file path. Entering a URL is fine, but when I try to locate files in my computer, it is a real pain because I have to carefully type the whole path and I can easily make mistakes. This became a prominent issue when I tried to manually add Java ME SDK plugin. I downloaded NetBeans plugin, and unarchived it, and tried to load them to NetBeans Update Center. The URL should be "file:/C:/Users/sungcho/Downloads/nb-me-sdk-plugins-uc/updates.xml". How am I suppose to remember the rule? It would be very nice if there is a "browse" button, so that I can simply locate the "updates.xml" file and choose it. Eclipse has such a feature already.
