Description joannelau 2002-04-10 22:37:10 UTC
020410 EE + ME modules, win2000

Unable to start Pointbase Network server, there is no Pointbase window coming up.
I use the Explorer and start by $forte4j_home/pointbase/server/netserver.bat
and use pointbase/client/console.bat to bringup the console.

While the server is still running, I use FFJ to stop the server but I'm getting an error
  "there isn't any running server".

I've also had j2ee ri running.

1. It is not Database Explorer bug. This is PointBase integration
issue which is part of Forte for Java, not NetBeans.
2. I cannot reproduce it. Tools->PointBase Network Server -> Start
Server works for me (020410 EE, Win2000).
3. We can stop only PointBase server which has been started from the
IDE. If you started it by netserver.bat it is not possible to stop the
server from the IDE.
4. Was any exception thrown? (in the exception window or in the
console window)

Wrong category. The bugreport was trasferred into Bugtraq, bug #4482448
.
Comment 3 Radko Najman 2002-04-12 07:44:20 UTC
Correction of my previous comment: the right bug number in Bugtraq is
4666340.
