I'm in the process of migrating my projects to Maven and I'm falling in love in the process. Not specially with Maven but with the concept of not having to "carry" jars with your source.

Anyway, as part of this I've been migrating NetBeans plug-ins as well and found with the fact that the plug-in repo has no way to link to something released in the Maven Central repo. You still have to manually load the file, etc.

Would it make sense to have this type of integration/support in the plug-in portal?

We will consider it for the next version of Plugin Portal 2.2.
