This bug was originally marked as duplicate of bug 181584, that is already resolved. This bug is still valid, so this seems to be another bug, but it might be related.

GUEST: when i tried to run a program (a new particular program) to test, it hanged for a several minutes before before it resumed.

I am not sure why this issue was assigned to data systems. At least 1.7s is consumed by processing the key strokes without any connection to data or filesystems, as far as I can tell.

I don't see any performance bottleneck in the attach profiler snapshot (apart from some classes being loaded which can't be avoided).
