When I try to close netbeans 3.3.1, IDE, A window pops up that says
there is a java.lang.NullPointerException and that I should report this to 
netbeans. hence, I am reporting.
BTW, after that the netbeans IDE does not shut. So, I have to end
the task using a task manager.
The popup window says send the log file also.

The log file says you have openide-fs.jar, openide-nodes.jar in 
C:\netbeans\lib\.  Those files are from the previous version of the
IDE.  This is bad.  Your installation is corrupted.  Please reinstall
the IDE into a new clean directory.
