Created attachment 121671 [details] File switcher problem Attached video speaks for itself, it happened to me twice today since I upgraded to RC1. If you need any additional info, I will be happy to provide.
My browser is timing out when trying to download the video. What are your symptoms?

File (tab) switcher (Ctrl + Tab) is going blank in some cases and wont close when you release Ctrl + Tab. It goes away only after NetBeans restart. This is hard to reproduce since it happens once in few hours.

Thanks! I'm having the same symptoms. Product Version: NetBeans IDE 7.2 RC1 (Build 201206272359) Java: 1.6.0_22; OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM 20.0-b11 System: Linux version 2.6.38-15-generic running on amd64; UTF-8; en_US (nb) OS: Ubuntu 11.04 using GNOME Clasic, (not Unity) The box that goes blank actually isn't the File Switcher itself because the gray box will show behind the File Switcher. I used "gnome-screenshot -i --delay 5" to capture the screenshot. To reproduce: hold down Ctrl, then tap and release Tab while holding down Ctrl. My workaround: switch to another application (Alt+Tab) and back to Netbeans. Or click on Netbean's title bar. Clicking on any part of Netbeans except the gray box might also work.

Yes, you're right. I use my workaround so I can continue to work without my code being obscured... until I Ctrl+Tab again. If you press and let go of Ctrl+Tab very quickly, the File Switcher window nor the gray box shows. Also, going to Window > Documents in the menu does will not cause this issue. Lastly, I used "xwininfo" to grab some (hopefully) useful info about my regular Netbeans window and the gray box: Gray Box: xwininfo: Window id: 0x500096d "win0" Absolute upper-left X: 673 Absolute upper-left Y: 407 Relative upper-left X: 0 Relative upper-left Y: 0 Width: 575 Height: 267 Depth: 24 Visual: 0x21 Visual Class: TrueColor Border width: 0 Class: InputOutput Colormap: 0x20 (installed) Bit Gravity State: NorthWestGravity Window Gravity State: NorthWestGravity Backing Store State: NotUseful Save Under State: no Map State: IsViewable Override Redirect State: no Corners: +673+407 -2592+407 -2592-406 +673-406 -geometry 575x267+673+407 Netbeans Window: xwininfo: Window id: 0x5000046 "NetBeans IDE 7.2 RC1" Absolute upper-left X: 46 Absolute upper-left Y: 556 Relative upper-left X: 0 Relative upper-left Y: 0 Width: 1726 Height: 920 Depth: 24 Visual: 0x21 Visual Class: TrueColor Border width: 0 Class: InputOutput Colormap: 0x20 (installed) Bit Gravity State: NorthWestGravity Window Gravity State: NorthWestGravity Backing Store State: NotUseful Save Under State: no Map State: IsViewable Override Redirect State: no Corners: +46+556 -2068+556 -2068--396 +46--396 -geometry 1726x920+38+527
By the way, I'm using two monitors.
Shouldn't the version of this bug be set to 7.2 not 7.3?
Ondro, please evaluate and reassign, I am not sure where this does belong
not a dirchooser issue. Stando, do you own the tab switcher?
