Description ps3587 2012-06-14 20:53:08 UTC
In a Netbeans Java project, I right clicked on a project and selected Properties and the Libraries tab. I then accidently selected Browse and selected a folder which then appeared in the 'Libraries Folder' text box. I should have selected the 'Add JAR/Folder' button.

This stopped my project from building. I was unable to return the 'Libraries Folder' text box to its default state which was Blank in my project.

The discussions held and subsequent work around is documented in http://forums.netbeans.org/post-129902.html. This involved manually editing the project.xml file. No one was able to suggest a way to remove the incorrectly entered value using the UI.

A remove button needs adding to this part of the UI.

Tomas, is this within Java Project infrastructure or general Project infrastructure ?

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.

Thanks for your cooperation,

This ABSOLUTELY still exists as a problem. I'm not sure why Martin Balin would suggest it isn't. Once you add a "Libraries Folder" it is literally impossible to get rid of it from the UI without manually messing with both build-impl.xml.

This is still true even in Netbeans 10.
