The cross to cancel a long lasting task may be obfuscated by the tooltip of the progress bar, depending on how the mouse landed on the close button. Especially when the tooltip popup duration has been raised, this can becoming annoying. Not sure that this happened in 1.6.9

The issue occurs on 7.3 as well.

Does not happen anymore, tooltip is now underneath - closing
