The exception box automatically closed so I couldn't submit from there but it shows in the logs.

Asked to run FindBugs inspectors on a single source file. Progress bar stayed at 0% (but with 100% CPU) for around 30 seconds with no clear progress. I clicked Cancel and this was thrown.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is anything to transplant to release72: the changeset:
http://hg.netbeans.org/main-golden/rev/069ab4b5205d
is part of NetBeans 7.2 to my knowledge. If the problem is still happening, another fix will be needed, but that is not ready to my knowledge (having a reproducible test case how to get into the state would be ideal).

There are various reports in 7.2 RC1, final, and 7.3 dev.

I haven't seen the issue again. I'll keep trying as part of NetCat 7.3
