Description MackSix 2012-04-03 06:46:24 UTC
If a regular tab, like the Output window gets docked inside a document tab group, it is changed to a document tab. If it is then docked outside by itself, it is still a document tab and it is inside a Document Tab Group. So if focus is on the Output Tab, documents open up in it's group instead of the group that is expected.

Workaround: Reset all Windows or put focus on a tab in the group of interest before opening a new document.

That is correct and expected behavior as of version 7.1
Comment 2 myrecek 2014-07-03 07:33:41 UTC
So is it really correct and expected behavior that one unintentional drag causes a situation that requires Reset all windows (and configure my IDE layout from scratch)?
What about e.g. a "Set as default document tab" option in the context menu?
