Description miguelons 2012-03-02 10:38:07 UTC
I have a serious problem: everything was going ok using NB until I had to install NB v7.1 on a computer with Windows Vista: when I installed NB, the computer shows me an error when I try to turn off it:

DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

Name: BlueScreen
S.O version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.768.3

Additional information:
BCCode: 9f
BCP1: 00000003
BCP2: 85C78390
BCP3: 86D68AB8
BCP4: 869A0950
OS Version: 6_0_6002
Service Pack: 2_0
Product: 768_1

And the computer cannot turn off, it shows the error and it restart Windows Vista. I had to uninstall NB in order to avoid the error.

Please, What can I do? Do you have any solution?

Thanks a lot, best regards.

I'm afraid it's out of scope NetBeans installer and a problem is in somewhere in your Vista installation. I've installed NB7.1 on my Windows Vista w/o any problem. I suggest you to make up-to-date your Windows Vista if any update is available and then try install NB7.1 again (btw. the updated release 7.1.1 is available now for download). To get more verbose output from NetBeans installer, run the installer from command prompt with a switch verbose i.e. netbeans-7.1.1-windows.exe --verbose --output out.txt and then attach this out.txt here. It can help in investigation this problem. Thanks
