It would be nice to have the opportunity to tell the editor that a file is an XML file as it is possible to "convert to text" a text file with an "odd" extension. For example, I'm unable to edit/open a .fo file with the XML editor. However, I can admit that registering the .fo extension as a default XML extension could help in my case.
Menu: Tools > Options > ... Options: IDE Configuration > System > Object Types > XML Objects > ... Properties: Extensions - add 'fo' to list.
