Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.1 RC1 (Build 201111242103)
Operating System = Linux version 2.6.38-13-generic running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_01
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 21.1-b02

The menu at the right which allows the selection of the open file/buffers source window stops working after a short period of time. The menu still displays, but nothing can be selected. The mouse seems to be passed through to the underlying window (source/text editor). Sometimes it magically starts working again for a while.

please reopen if the problem is not reproducible with some other plain java application, e.g. SwingSet demo (in your JDK folder).
otherwise it's most likely a JDK or linux bug.
