Operating System = Mac OS X version 10.6.8 running on x86_64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.6.0_26
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 20.1-b02-384

it happened by user mistake that a http/https proxy was also setup as a socks proxy. From the error returned by the connector it wasn't obvious what was actually wrong. A more descriptive error msg would be nice.

doesn't seem to happen that often, so lets not bother with this.
