When you validate and XML instance document against an XML Schema in Eclipse, the gutter bar shows icons/error-glyphs at the lines where errors occur... that is, if you hover over the 'white x in the red circle', the error will be shown, "e.g., ... the content of element ... is not complete ..."

NetBeans does not have this feature... it only shows the errors in the "Output - XML check" window.

Please consider adding this feature.
