Created attachment 110828 [details] Screenshot of the defect At seemingly random times a few lines of the code are rendered black while the rest of the code is correctly colored. I attach a screenshot of the defect, the affected lines are from 259 to 265, clicking (placing the caret) on or before the affected code causes the code to be correctly rendered. I'm not sure what happens when placing the cursor after the code because this problem rarely shows and I haven't found a way to trigger it. Regards, Paolo.
Could be a general problem and not only in PHP. Please evaluate, thanks.
I have the same problem with .java files too...sometimes, so I think that it will be problem of base Editor component.

Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201110070600) Java: 1.6.0_26; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 20.1-b02 System: Linux version 3.0.0-1-686-pae running on i386; UTF-8; en_US (nb) User directory: /home/paolo/.netbeans/dev Cache directory: /run/netbeans Just a note, seems to be more frequent in the last nightly build. I experienced this issue at least 5 times since the new install a couple of hours ago, including once where most of the lines in the file were without coloring. Regards, Paolo
Created attachment 114718 [details] Strange syntax highlighting Hi there, I'm not sure, if this is related to this bug, but I sometime have a very strange syntax-highlighting of my php sources. This happens randomly and is not reproducable. I have to close and reopen my file to get the correct syntax-highlight again. This behaviour startet after update to 7.1. Best regards, Marcus
Could you please test the problem in current dev builds? I guess that the integration of issue #203827 might resolve the problem. Thanks.
Assuming that it became fixed by issue #203827. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 203827 ***
