Description GustavoSoares 2011-09-12 02:20:58 UTC
Create the classes:

package p2;
public class C {
  long test(  int a){
    return 2;
  }
}

package p2;
public class A extends C {
  protected long test(  long a){
    return 1;
  }
}

package p1;
import p2.*;
public class B extends A {
  public long k(){
    return m();
  }
  public long m(){
    return super.test(2);
  }
}

apply the pull up method refactoring to m

package p2;
public class C {
  long test(  int a){
    return 2;
  }
}

package p2;
public class A extends C {
  protected long test(  long a){
    return 1;
  }
    public long m() {
        return super.test(2);
    }
}

package p1;
import p2.*;
public class B extends A {
  public long k(){
    return m();
  }
}

The transformation changes behavior. After the transformation the test method returns 2 instead of 1
